The only game in the near future that might possibly have a queer character is Heavy rain I think. Just because Guillaume de Fondaumière and David cage seem to be the only people who you can trust to be mature enough not to do either a lesbian orgy or have some flamer.
I'm mainly basing this off of Carla's friend in Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit, I was quite surprised as that was probably the first gay/bi character I'd ever seen in a game.
Littlebigplanet is one of the main reasons I own a PS3, so he isn't lying.
And I know they aren't first party but Heavy Rain, Valkyrie Chronicles and FFVsXIII also help matters along.

I tried playing FFVIII on the PC once, it felt really weird. It'll probably come out for PC a year or so down the line, thats what they did with VIII right?
I hope that there is no extra delay for the PS3 version. I have no problem with it going to the 360 also, but it would be annoying if they pushed it back just so they can simultaneously release it.

PC gamers/developers can be really annoying sometimes, they come across as really elitist. 'Haha! You should just upgrade your PC so you can play all the latest games! Whats the matter? are you too POOR?' Ugh. Not all of us want to spend stupid amounts of money every year on games.
Will Wright gets it right at least, don't ask for ridiculously high specs for each game and then people will buy it.

The Shiva Motorbike looks mad, it's good that their designs are still so insane after all these years. FFXIII clear away the browns and grays of this gen with some colour!

I was using GTA as an example of how it isn't racist or 'reverse-racist' (God I hate that term).
I was specifically talking about GTA:SA where a large part of the game is spent fighting for gang territory from black and latino gangs.
People like to act like in GTA:SA you went on a white person killing spree and use it as a kind of crappy opposition argument to RE5.
Have to make a few points before this descends into the farce it's destined to become:
1. Not everyone in Africa is black, those 'white' people mostly look NORTH African, that is to say Arab. Not everywhere in Africa is Savannah and lions and all that colonialist garbage people imagine when they hear Africa.

I hope its a remake with updated graphics and better translation. I do hope they don't change too much however for two reasons; It'll take ages to come out if they do a complete remake right now, I'd prefer FFXIII and FFVsXIII personally and the English voices of the FFVII crew (with the exception of Tifa) annoy the hell out of me, please keep it just text or at least give us dual audio options.

Nothing seems to be part of the old-age anti-fat patriarchal nonsense many things are, the gameplay mechanic is simply a comical absurdity considering how princesses (of yore) are perceived to look. Its obviously tounge-in-cheek and mildly satirical.

A brilliant book to make into a game would be Ash: A Secret History by Mary Gentle. Some sort of SRPG or RTS format would be perfect, plus Ash is ultimate win.
Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, re-imagined by Quantic Dream could be an odd and brilliant game too.
